These rules apply to everything uploaded to the Echo Emote catalog. They add to the Echo community rules: echo-assistants.tech/rules.

1. What you can upload

  • Your own work: things you drew, filmed or recorded yourself.
  • Other people's work under a free license from the list below. State the license and, if it requires, the original author.
  • Things that fit an ordinary Discord server: the catalog is open to everyone, and its items go to servers of any topic.

2. What you cannot upload

  • Nudity and sexual scenes, including in sound. They can't be uploaded at all, even with the 18+ mark.
  • Other people's characters, logos, brands, frames from films, games and anime without the rights holder's permission.
  • Other people's work without a license or under a license not on the list below, including licenses that forbid commercial use (NC).
  • Insults, harassment, calls to violence, symbols of banned organizations.
  • Photos and personal data of people without their consent.
  • Ads, server invites, links and scams, including in names and tags.
  • Sounds that hurt the ears: a sudden volume jump, a scream, a screamer.

3. Content marks

If a file has profanity (in text or in the sound), blood and violence, or explicit 18+ content, add the right mark when you send it.

In the catalog, marked content is blurred and opens only after confirmation. It can be hidden with the “Hide marked” switch.

A file that needs a mark is rejected without it: upload it again with the mark. We don't accept nudity or sexual scenes even with the 18+ mark: Discord forbids this in emoji and stickers.

4. Licenses

We accept your own work and free licenses that allow commercial use: Discord servers can be paid, and we cannot track a ban on commercial use.

We show the license, the original author and the source link on the item page.

  • Own work: author optional
  • CC0 1.0: author optional
  • Public domain: author optional
  • CC BY 4.0: original author required
  • CC BY-SA 4.0: original author required
  • CC BY 3.0: original author required
  • WTFPL: author optional
  • MIT: original author required
  • Apache 2.0: original author required
  • SIL OFL 1.1: original author required

5. Review

Echo Support reviews every upload. Until then, only you can see the item.

If an upload is rejected, the reason arrives in the bell on the site and shows in "My uploads". Fix what it says and press "Send again": after a rejection the file is kept for 30 days. A different file needs a new upload.

You can change your uploads at any time with the "Edit" button on the item or pack page and in "My uploads". An edit to something already in the catalog is live at once; Echo Support checks it and may restore the previous values. Only a moderator can remove a content mark from a catalog item.

We do not limit how much you upload. There is only flood protection: no more than 60 files a minute per account. New packs: no more than 10 a day.

6. How to report

On the item or pack page, press “Report” and choose a reason. Support handles the report. We do not tell the reporter which measure was taken.

If your drawing or sound was uploaded without your permission, report it and say in the comment where the original is published. You can also write to Echo support: echo-assistants.tech/support.

7. Violations

For a violation, an item or pack is hidden from the catalog or removed. For repeated or serious violations, uploading is closed for a period or for good.

Items already added to servers stay there. The server owner can delete them in the Discord settings.
